New Website? You Need Headshots!

We recently created these images for the DC office of a New York based Asset Management Firm. The great thing about this client was their preparedness and efficiency. The gave us access to an entire floor and we could set-up our background and lights anywhere we needed.

A gray background goes well with both bright colors and pastels, and like white it allows for quite a bit of flexibility with the lighting. Images can be framed in what looks like a lighter gray in order to draw the viewer’s eye to the center of the image and give your subject the attention it deserves.

We understand that coordinating a photo session for a group of 5-500 can be challenging, and soliciting proposals from several photographers can be very time consuming on your part.  Give us a call at 888.984.4777  to hear how we can help you make the process as seamless and enjoyable as possible! We’ve worked small and large firms but regardless of the size we bring a high level of organization, professionalism, and the ability to make outstanding images that your people will LOVE.

New Website? You Need Headshots!

alexandria_va_business_headshot copyWe recently worked with a client that needed to update her business headshot for her new company. The client is an attorney at an Association

based in Alexandria VA and fortunately hadn’t had a
business portrait since 2009. We actually photographed this at the clients home in Alexandria on a weekend because it was more convenient. In this case she selected the grey outfit because it was neutral and we selected a darker grey background to provide some contrast.

We love it when we have the opportunity to work with other business owners so when we got the call to create a new business portrait for Brian Berry, the founder of Oak Point Investors, we were thrilled. Brianis the founder of Oak Point investors and has been instrumental in completing over $7 Billion in capital transactions and developing and renovating over 3 million square feet of office and mixed-use properties over his career. Not too shabby if you ask me.

We worked closely with the Internal Communications department provide them with a professional, studio-style look and feel they needed. Prior to the shoot we took the lead on providing our contact with an online scheduling system that allowed each person to select the session time that best fit his/her schedule. The eliminated the need for our contact to try to schedule and manage 125+ sessions. Scheduling and logistics can sometime be the most daunting aspect of a shoot of this magnitude.

By the end of the day we had photographed 129 individuals. All the files were edited, retouched, sized and delivered in less than 6 business days.

If you are looking for a professional studio to create image for your staff of 1-5000 people make sure you give us a call at 888.984.4777. Business portraits can be photographed on many different backgrounds. The most popular color options are gray, solid white and blue. File are typically ready for delivery 48 hours after your final selection has been made. Our studio is prepared to handle multiple backgrounds, large groups and also rush services.

We’re always proud when we receive great feedback from our business portrait clients. Here is a testimonial from Mary G. that just hit our inbox.

“Delane provided excellent service for my corporate  photo shoot.   He gave sound advice about what to wear and how to stand to create an  optimal photo.   In addition, he is very personable and his photo studio is conveniently located on Capitol Hill, with plenty of free parking nearby.”

The really cool thing is that Mary initially contacted us about 6 months ago. Our first conversation was probably a 20-30 minute dialogue regarding her specific needs and what she could expect during the session. In late January Mary called back and booked her session. I remembered our original talk and referenced specifics from that conversation.

Fast forward to today…Mary arrived and changed into her business attire while we prepped the lights and tweaked the setup. We shot 25-30 images in each of her outfits. Between the outfits I changed the lighting to go from a light warm grey background to a crisp white background. After the shooting was done we sat down to review the images. THIS was the difficult part…Mary had so many great options from which to choose. We finally narrowed it down to her favorite (4) images…two of them are displayed here.
